The Proposition
My name is Yolandie Janse van Vuuren. I am the mother of two South African Kickboxing Champions — Joshua and Moya — who have been selected to represent South Africa at the Junior Kickboxing World Championships in Jesolo, Italy, in September 2026.
This is not a participation story. Both athletes earned their selection through competitive results at national level, with multiple national titles and podium finishes between them. They train six days a week. They have built a real social media following through consistent content, and their community follows their journey closely.
The total cost of the tour is approximately R150,000, covering flights, accommodation, competition fees, and related expenses. Our immediate priority is securing the first round of payments by mid-June 2026 to confirm their participation.

Meet the Athletes
These are not first-time competitors. Joshua and Moya have accumulated national titles, provincial podiums, and tournament wins across multiple events. This is the next step in a track record that's already years in the making.
Four months after stepping into a kickboxing gym for the first time, Joshua was already being noticed. His coach, Dave Venter, saw something rare — grit, discipline, and natural ability — and took a chance on him, selecting him for the African Continental Championships.
Joshua arrived without South African colours, competing in his club kit while others wore national uniforms. It didn't matter. He fought his way to gold and won the Open Cup Title.
Today, just two years later, Joshua is a two-time South African Champion and has earned his place on the national team. He will proudly represent South Africa at the World Championships in Italy — a journey that started with nothing but belief and opportunity.

Moya's journey into kickboxing only began in January 2025 — but from the moment she stepped onto the mat, it was clear she was something special.
In her very first year of competing, she rose through the ranks to become a three-time South African Champion, showing incredible determination, focus, and heart.
By winning her division at Nationals this year, Moya secured her place on the South African team. She will now represent her country at the World Championships in Italy — an incredible achievement for an athlete at the very beginning of her journey.
